Catering is also referred to as an event catering wherein food is served on dining tables with waiting staff or on self-serve buffet tables. Functions

In addition, the food that caterers prepare can be done on-site or it may have been cooked already when brought to the event venue. Aside from the preparation of the food, catering companies’ services also include setting-up the area with tables, chairs, silverwares, decorations, lightings as well as the clean-up.

Professional caterers can provide service for anyone on any level of income.  They should not only satisfy a clients’ special dietary needs but have reasonable prices as well.  Because of the current trend in catering on satisfying all of the clients’ senses, clients can expect more than just delicious food. Professional catering companies have gone  not only into pleasing the clients’  sense of taste, smell and touch through their food, but in making an atmosphere with beautiful decors and ambience, too. As a result, making  the event even more special and unforgettable for the client. Clients can even expect from these caterers not only to listen and give them the kind of event that they want, but also to help in planning, organizing, and sending-out the invitations for them, or even do those things for them. If clients have requests, for example, if they want a  kind of food to be included; whether kosher, halal, vegetarian, or food allergy; or on how they want the hors d’oeuvres to be served, either stationary or passed; they can expect their catering service provider to include this in the plan.  Furthermore, a sample menu and food tasting are given-out prior to hiring the caterer.   Clients can also ask to see the silverware if they are acceptable for them, or determine whether caterers would also handle all table settings, including putting cards and party favors on the tables. Some caterers also provide event coordinators if there isn’t one yet.

There are now a lot of companies that provide catering services. To get a good one that is worth the money you will pay, take time to know the food and service they will provide. In addition, make a list of the things you want to be included in the event and ask them about it.
